The new Beats Solo Buds last 18 hours on a single charge and cost S$109

The Beats Solo Buds cost €109.

Beats just announced a new pair of wireless earbuds, the Solo Buds.

The highlight of the Beats Solo Buds is the battery life of 18 hours, which the company claims is the longest ever on a Beats earbud. By comparison, Apple’s AirPods (3rd generation) offer up to 6 hours of listening time and a total of 30 hours with the carrying case.

Those 18 hours are all you get, though, because the case of the Beats Solo Buds does not actually charge the earbuds when they are in it. Instead, the carrying case only charges the earbuds when they are connected to a power adapter with a USB-C cable. That said, if you do run out of juice, a five-minute charge will provide up to an hour of playtime for the Beats Solo Buds.

The Beats Solo Buds feature ergonomically designed acoustic nozzles and laser-cut vents for better audio performance and added comfort. Since it does not support active noise cancellationa perfect fit in the ear is important to minimize ambient noise.

Other features include dual-layer transducers to reduce micro-distortions across the frequency curve custom designed microphone with an advanced noise learning algorithm, one-touch link between iOS and Android devicesand Class 1 Bluetooth for longer range with fewer dropouts.

Prices and availability

Priced at €109,-the Beats Solo Buds are available in four color options (matte black, storm gray, artic purple and transparent red) and will available for purchase on apple.com in June.

Considering that the cheapest AirPods (2nd generation) cost €202.70, the Beats Solo Buds seem to be an attractive alternative for price-conscious consumers.
