Two D’Iberville soccer stars are signing to play soccer at the college level

The D’Iberville football program will be well represented at the next level as Jaylen Barker and Omar Johnson commit to Kentucky Christian University.

Barker represented the Warriors as a strong safety and Johnson also spent time as a defensive back. Both young men express their gratitude for this moment and say that they absolutely do not take this opportunity for granted.

Barker said, “Honestly, I’m really blessed to be able to play in this position at the next level because it’s really rare for a lot of high school players to be able to do that, so I’m just really blessed.

Johnson followed that up by saying, “Being able to continue playing football as a little kid, I got to watch my cousin play and watch family members and friends play and the goal has always been to play in the NFL, so now I get to do that. one step closer to that and like I said some people don’t see it as the best but I do because I get to take another photo even though it might be my last.
