Bucks G Patrick Beverley throws balls at multiple Pacers fans during elimination (Video)

The Milwaukee Bucks’ elimination by the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the NBA playoffs was ugly. Patrick Beverley made it so much uglier.

In the final minutes of the Bucks’ 120–98 loss in Game 6, Milwaukee guard Patrick Beverley was seen on the TNT broadcast throwing a ball at a female Pacers fan and hitting her in the head. He then asked for the ball from another fan and roughly threw it back at him.

Beverley began talking to the fans behind him as his Bucks teammates, coaches and security dealt with the situation.

The situation will almost certainly result in Beverly receiving discipline from the NBA. Beverley was not sent off for the incident, but did not appear again in the match.

It was a rough night overall for the Bucks as the Pacers quickly took control and led by double digits throughout the fourth quarter. Milwaukee came into the game with renewed hopes of avoiding elimination after their big win in Game 5 and the return of Damian Lillard, but were still short on players. Giannis Antetokounmpo missed the entire series due to a calf injury suffered late in the regular season.

Beverley scored a game-high six points on 3-for-11 shooting with five assists, two rebounds and zero turnovers. He posted a congratulatory message to the Pacers after the game, without acknowledging the incident.

The Pacers advanced to face the winner of the series between the New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers, while the Bucks head straight into an offseason with some tough questions following a midseason coaching change. Beverly is a pending free agent.
