James L. Critchfield 1943-2024 | News, sports, jobs

He was born March 5, 1943 in Rockwood, Pennsylvania, the son of Charles R. and Dorothy Barron Critchfield.

Jim graduated from Rockwood Area High School and the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in electrical engineering. After a successful career as an engineer, he enjoyed driving buses for Precious Cargo. He was a very social person, belonged to the Moose Lodge and went out of his way to help people get to doctor’s appointments.

Precious memories of Jim live on through his son, Nathan Critchfield of Warren; his sister, Judy Weiss of Somerset, Pa.; and his brother, Dr. Jack Critchfield (Mary Cecilia) from Florida.

His parents precede him in death.

According to his wishes, cremation will take place.

There are no services or calling hours.
