50 Cent Honored at the 2024 Entrepreneurial Spirit Awards Gala

50 Cent was recognized for his strides as a businessman at The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) 2024 Entrepreneurial Spirits Awards Gala on Wednesday evening (May 1). Hosted by Emmy-winning journalist and MSNBC host Ari Melber, the event recognizes outstanding individuals and organizations for their exceptional contributions to entrepreneurial leadership and education.

The Queens, NY native received the Entrepreneurial Leadership Award from Power Book IV: Power star Joseph Sikora. He was honored for his efforts in music, entertainment and beyond, including G-Unit Records, G-Unit Film and Television, Inc., G-Unity Foundation and Sire Spirits.

A clip uploaded to the This Is 50 Instagram account shows the rapper taking the stage at the Gala and walking out to an instrumental from his 2003 chart-topper, “PIMP.”

The honor comes just as the 48-year-old announced a new business expansion. Last month, 50 Cent unveiled a brand new G-Unit studio location in Shreveport, La.

“As someone who has always believed in the transformative power of music, film and television, I am extremely excited to introduce the expansion of my G-Unit Film & Television through the launch of G-Unit Studios here in Shreveport. From the gritty stories on the streets to the compelling stories that define our era, G-Unit has always been more than just entertainment; it is a platform for voices that need to be heard, stories that need to be told,” said the Grammy Award-winning artist.

He continued with details: “Bringing G-Unit Studios to Shreveport is not just a business decision; it is a commitment to fostering talent, creating opportunity and building a community that thrives through creativity and innovation. We see Shreveport as a beacon of inspiration and creativity.”
