Born April 20, 1993 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of Mary Jane (Grove) Morgan of Greencastle and the late Brian W. “Wes” Morgan, who passed away on September 16, 2019.

Cody graduated from Greencastle Antrim High School in 2011.

He was employed as kitchen manager at John Allison House, Greencastle, where he has worked for the past four years.

He had been at Oak Hill Center for Rehab in Middletown, PA since February 15, 2024, and he became close with several of the nurses, especially Linda and Pam. It was hard to tell how much pain he was in because he never complained. His concern was always for his mother.

Cody was a good son to his parents and after his father passed away, he remained a tremendous support to his mother. He always had a positive outlook on life, no matter what he was going through.

In his spare time, Cody was an avid reader. He also had an excellent speaking voice that could easily fill the room. His mother always thought he would make an excellent lawyer, because of his voice and his ability to debate. He aspired to become a chef and was an excellent cook. When he wanted to relax, he enjoyed playing his Xbox and always achieved impressive scores!

In addition to his beloved mother, he is survived by his grandmother, Patricia J. (Cump) Hedges, of Maugansville, MD; several aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles and many nieces and nephews. He was especially close to his aunt, Robin Grove of Greencastle, and his great-aunt, Carolyn Cump of Hagerstown, MD.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents: Richard A. Morgan, Reva L. Tyson and Lewis E. Grove.

The funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 11:00 am Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home521 S. Washington St. Greencastle, PA.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
