The past few weeks have not been kind to Charlotte FC as they suffered a 3-0 home defeat two weeks ago before losing in extra time in New York last week. The good news is that they begin a series of home games, starting with Portland next Saturday, as The Crown will play four of their next five games at Bank of America Stadium, a venue that is often kind to Charlotte.

Willie P, the voice of Charlotte FC, appears on the Wes & Walker Show every Thursday during the MLS season, and he did so again today after training for Saturday’s home game. During his time with the boys, he talked about a new roster protocol coming to MLS, and the clarity it will bring to rosters across the sport. He also spoke about the importance of the upcoming month of play, as it is important for the club to position itself for the postseason heading into the summer transfer window.

In addition to being the voice of Charlotte FC, Willie is also the postgame host for the Charlotte Hornets, and he talked about why he’s interested in JJ Redick as the franchise’s next head coach.

You can listen to The Wes & Walker Show (Charlotte’s No. 1 afternoon show) every day from 12pm to 3pm on Sportradio 92.7 WFNZ and the WFNZ app.
