SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES RETURN TO LEVI’S® STADIUM FOR A CINCO DE MAYO CELEBRATION

The San Jose Earthquakes return to Levi’s® Stadium on Saturday, May 4 for the largest Cinco de Mayo celebration in Northern California.

San Jose will take on the Los Angeles Football Club in front of one of the biggest crowds of the year. Levi’s® Stadium will open to its full 68,500-seat capacity during the game, as the Quakes look to build on last year’s success when more than 45,000 fans filled the stadium for the Cinco de Mayo celebration.

“I’m very excited to be back here at Levi’s® Stadium,” said Earthquakes midfielder Cristian Espinoza. “It’s a beautiful stadium, especially for all the fans… It’s a very good pitch. Last year was great and hopefully this year will be great too.”

“This match certainly couldn’t have come at a better time for us, in this environment that we enjoyed so much last year,” added Earthquakes head coach Luchi Gonzalez. “The stadium, this fan base and this community… This is a game that we take personally. It doesn’t matter the points, the table. This is about who wants more on any given night and we’re excited about this opportunity to play LAFC.

The festivities extend beyond the field to celebrate Mexican heritage. Levi’s® Stadium will host a full day of activities including a pre-game fan fest, live performances by San Jose native Sueñatrón, a variety of Mexican cuisine, a special appearance by San Francisco 49ers All-Pro linebacker Fred Warner, a halftime show from Marca MP and more.

The Quakes fan fest includes meet-and-greet opportunities with Mexican national team legend Oswaldo Sánchez, Salinas fighter Ruben Villa, Reynoso and Soltero of The Give N Go Podcast, social media sensations San Jose Foos and TikTok stars Rico and The Mars Family.

“It’s going to be good for us either way,” Gonzalez said. “I had my first experience here last year and it was incredible. Just the support, the intensity, the energy. The players love this pitch, they love the stadium, they love this dressing room and they love the environment that we know we will have on Saturday. So we want to show respect for it, we want to honor it with our hearts, with our intensity and energy to perform and do our best on Saturday.”

Gates open at 2:30 PM PT, with kickoff at 4:30 PM PT at Levi’s® Stadium. Don’t miss the largest Cinco de Mayo celebration in Northern California and get your tickets here.
