Sophomore at the University of North Carolina Megan Streicher has earned All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors in women’s golf, the league announced today.

Streicher is one of 15 players on the 2024 all-conference team.

The native of Cape Town, South Africa, leads Carolina with a batting average of 71.13, which is on pace to set a UNC single-season record.

Streicher has been Carolina’s bottom finisher in each of the last six tournaments, including three fourth-place finishes and 10e at the ACC Championship. She also went 3-0 in helping the Tar Heels win three games en route to the title at the NC State Match Play Invitational.

Streicher is 14 under par in 24 rounds this season. Last year she posted the lowest batting average of a Tar Heel freshman, and her career average of 72.38 is also on pace to set the UNC record (she needs one more tournament to qualify for both the single-season and the career scores).

The Tar Heels are the No. 5 seed in the NCAA Auburn (Ala.) Regional on May 6-8.
