‘Haven’t thought much about the outcome lately’: Bhuvneshwar Kumar after helping SRH win thriller

RR’s chase of 202 was rocked by Bhuvneshwar in the opening – with Jos Buttler chasing the wide slip fielder for a golden duck, while Sanju Samson was caught by an inswinger that rattled stumps through the gate.

Defending 12 in the final over, Bhuvneshwar trapped Rovman Powell in front of the wicket in the last ball to halt Rajasthan Royal’s chase at 200 for 7 and eventually pull off a heist.

Sunrisers had scored 201 for 3 in their 20 overs, building on Travis Head and Nitish Reddy’s fifties.

“The last time I didn’t think much about the result. There was no discussion last time, it was just focused on the process. I was just thinking about bowling two good balls, anything could have happened,” said Bhuvneshwar, who was named Player of the Match for his 3 for 41, during the post-match presentation.

“I didn’t think much, I was just focused on the process. The ball swung so much, I can’t really pinpoint it, I really enjoyed it. Luckily I got wickets today. When the season started, the thought process was different but it changed when the batters played in such a manner,” he added.
